Vision 2010 New year Goals!

Setting goals is something we are all so familiar with, it’s almost a boring topic! People say things like: "Yes, we know we should set goals."; "Yes, we know we can set goals for health, for sport, for work, for financials – in fact for all aspects of our lives."; "Yes, we know goals are extremely useful both to strive to achieve and to measure progress against.”

But what if there was an inspiring, fun, exciting way to set goals for your life? What if the inspiring goals, actually helped your subconscious start focusing on them, day and night, without you even being aware of it? The steps below show exactly how to develop inspiring goals and will result in you feeling so motivated that you automatically start to track for the things you most want. Stop saying it and start doing it!

This Christmas tree reminds me of my favorite Christmas movie "It's A Wonderful Life"

This free Christmas tree picture features a gold star-topped tree with a theme of traditional red and gold. Decorations include ribbon, bead clusters, fabric covered ornaments and hanging figurines. Notice the Victorian-style carolers in front... a delightful accent!
I Love all things Christmas
here is a picture of a Christmas ornament designed just for me,

Do you use the same decorations every year or do you have a themed Christmas?

Marketing secret I almost did'nt want to share

I was reading a marketing article that really caught my attenton because it was different from all the other marketing techniques I used. Was it a new secret online technique that even the guru's didn't know about yet?

As a Mom who works from home for the past 12 years in a successful medical billing and collections business I understand and I speak to the millions of Mom's who work from home and need to generate a generous income. I can relate to their need for using amazing techniques that work!

I am a social marketing aficiando and have totally forgotten another advertising avenue I haven't used in a long time. Thanks to Mogul Mom

Sales Letters: Why & How To Use Them
by Lisa Otto · 0 comments

Remember when you were a kid and your parents would hand you a pile of junk mail to play with? I bet most of that junk mail was comprised of sales letters (though we really didn’t care, we were just excited to have our own mail!). You know-those one or two page letters trying to sell us something by using bold text, all caps, and most of the time, black, white and red color schemes. For everything from car repairs to hair restoration, those sales letters would come by the droves.

It wasn’t until I began creating sales letters for my own business, and then creating them for clients, that I realized how important those letters were for the business who sent them. As a direct way to present and sell something to potential customers all over the country, sales letters have played an important role in business marketing for years. The good news is that sales letters have evolved. No longer resembling ‘paper telemarketing’, a properly written and designed sales letter can do wonders for driving sales for your small business.

Small product businesses in particular can greatly benefit from a well-written sales letter. Why? Because small businesses usually don’t use sales letters and this in itself presents an untapped market. How many sales letters have you received from jewelry companies, bath & body companies, baby product sellers, etc? Likely, not many if any at all. Most small businesses focus on online and email marketing to drive sales and build brand awareness. While effective and smart, online marketing is only one piece of the marketing puzzle. Sales letters open up an entirely new avenue for driving new and existing companies to make a purchase. And, it adds to your brand awareness, too.

If sales letters are so great, why don’t more small businesses use them? Cost plays an important factor, as having a professional letter written isn’t cheap. And, many small product businesses might not know the value this type of marketing tool can bring. Additionally, trying to create your own sales letter can be daunting if you’re not a writer at heart, and can be just ‘one more thing’ to do.

Let’s take a look at the value a sales letter can bring. A past client utilized a sales letter to promote a new line of children’s apparel to an audience of 2,500 households which contained a child under the age of 5 (she obtained a mailing list from a reputable broker). This client had yet to claim a profit on her business, had one employee and was in her third year of business (not your typical business to utilize sales letters). She had a targeted sales letter created that fit her product, short-term sales and brand-awareness goals. After mailing, this client had grossed approximately $5,000 in sales from new and returning customers who received the letter- which more than recovered her initial cost of having the letter created and the price of the mailing list. She will send the same letter to a different group of potential clients, and hopes to see profits again.

Creating a sales letter for your small business should be a well-thought out process. Consider why you should consider using one:

Your past customers present an excellent starting point for repeat sales from your sales letter.
A well-written sales letter can be used more than once, hence paying for itself over and over.
Recipients of your sales letter are likely to be more open to something new and fresh, and not the same old sales letters that come from car companies, home repair venues and weight-loss products. Give them something fun and fresh!
Mothers are a powerful demographic. Small product-based companies NEED to tap into the ‘mommy market’ to drive sales. A sales letter is a potent way to do this.
Beauty products, health & beauty services, female-targeted products and family oriented products & services tend to market well through sales letters.
There are not many small businesses (or home based businesses) using sales letters as a marketing tool. This opens up the very wide avenue for smart small businesses to grab onto.
Sales letters are a prime way to present new goods and services, provide a small product sample or promotion and best of all, JUMP start holiday sales (now is the time, people!)
Even if you currently use email and online marketing, print sales letters should not be overlooked. A visually appealing piece of mail is a powerful sales tool and only helps reinforce your brand.
Ok, so let’s say your interest is peaked and you want to learn more about creating a sales letter for your product or service. First, take a peek at this sales letter example to see how it is written to target a certain audience, and how it can persuade a reader to take more interest in the product-and hopefully make a sale. Then, consider these things when creating a letter for your business:

Who your intended audience is and how you will get their contact information.
Your goals, or the end-result, you are after with the sales letter. What do you hope to achieve?
The cost effectiveness of creating and sending a sales letter. Even if your budget is tiny, you can still tap into this marketing effort.
How you will monitor results of sending your sales letter. Will you offer a promotion or coupon code to be traced from sales against the letter?
Your sales letter should have a clear purpose and enough information to drive your reader to take action, hence, make a purchase. Keep it simple, make it visual and use your business identity to build brand awareness and trust. Best of all, offer an incentive like a coupon or discount code, business magnet or small product sample. The client mentioned above who sent out a sales letter for her clothing line included two small fabric swatches with each letter, so readers could see the amazing beauty of the fabrics she used in her line. Most of all, recognize your sales letter as the long-term investment in your business that it is, use it wisely, and enjoy to the return!

Handling bills during a layoff or money crunch

You or your spouse are laid off and suddenly you wonder how you will pay your bills, or there is a health crisis in the family, Marilyn Kennedy Melia •
Highlights some suggestions:
*Credit experts warn: Have a plan before you plea.
*Contact lenders early, but there are no guarantees of help.
*It's up to you to make sure your priority bills are paid first

Let's take each of the suggestions, "Have a plan before you plea"
yes you can approach all your lenders and plead hardship however be prepared for the consequences such as them lowering your credit lines. You can approach the credit card companies yourself or seek help from credit counseling services, but don't just ignore the problem. Did you take out insurance such as insurance when you become unemployed? Some creditcard companies offered it. Most mortgage companies and credit card issuers have disability insurance but few offer insurance for the laid off worker. This all goes to her advice "Contact lenders early, but there are no guarantees of help".

If you have a savings account (6 months savings) to tide you over till you get another job use it first not your 401K, now lets discuss,
"It's up to you to make certain your priority bills are paid first"
lets describe what a "priority bill" is...
*First and foremost your Mortgage, that should be priority one make that payment after you contacted your mortgage company and find out if and how they will work with you.
* Utilities, Electricity, gas, Water, but what about those cable bills and cell phone bills? (we'll get to that later)
*Food, you have to eat, spend less with our tips on using coupons, etc.Don't eat out especially at fast food places because that costs more.
*Transportation, save gas, drive only when necessary.Keep up with all insurances.

Those are the major bills that should be paid first, now you're asking but what about credit card bills, try to pay the minimum if at all possible, and again try to negotiate on your behalf or get a counselor to do it for you.

With these strategies you can survive a job loss or money crunch.

Ways of Making Money through Craigs List

Craigslist is an online community where its users
are able to buy or sell items, as well as looking
for jobs or even meet and find new friends.

It also allows its users to exchange information.
This has now become the most complete site around
the world, not just in the USA, offering free
classified ads to those that peruse its pages.
Currently, Craigslist is averaging around 4 billion
page views a month, and so it can offer those who
want them, a wealth of financial opportunities,
especially if they are willing to capitalize on
this site’s popularity.

So if you are really keen
to set up your own online business which can be run
from the comfort of your own home, then it is
advisable that you start looking for a service or
product which you can advertise on Craigslist, and
just see what results you achieve.

So let’s take a look at some ways that you can make
money through using Craigslist.

Sell products that are tangible on your Website
It can either be through a special offer or a sale.
But all you need to do is go to the right category
on Craigslist, and then submit a posting in
relation to what it is you are offering for sale,
along with the price that you are offering it at.
Certainly, the better the deal you can provide to
those visiting the site, then the more visitors it
will bring to yours.

Selling products or services on eBay
Unfortunately, using this method in order to make
money could be a problem if you do not have
sufficient goods to sell. Plus, placing any sort
of listing on eBay is going to cost you. However,
with Craigslist if you go to the “for sale” and
then “free” section in various categories, you will
be amazed at just what people are giving away. You
can then get these goods for yourself, and if you
want, start selling them on eBay, and make your
profit from Craigslist in that way.

Selling Affiliate Products
If you are looking for a way to earn money at home
by use of the internet, one way is to get involved
in affiliate marketing. However, you will need to
read the terms of service in relation to affiliate
marketing on Craigslist, as this is not normally
allowed. But there are ways in which you can
either suggest or recommend to those that use
Craigslist, in order for them to purchase the
affiliate products that you are offering.

As there are so many people now turning to
Craigslist in order to look for products and
services that are being offered to them, then you
should not miss out if you are looking for a way to
earn a living from home through using the internet.
So the sooner you get your Craigslist campaign under way,
then the sooner you can start watching your profits

How to Succeed with an Online Business

How to Succeed with Online Business
When people ask how they can succeed with an online business, they usually want to know why it feels as if some people are making a million dollars overnight while others are struggling to see their very first dollar.

Success is not instantaneous for anyone. Even the most thriving business owners knew how to succeed with online business before they started out – by having a plan in place to take them from novice to seasoned professional in the shortest amount of time.

The first thing you want to do when discovering how to succeed with an online business is some preliminary research and investigation into your niche. It doesn’t matter if you’re selling items on eBay or writing information products for instant download. You have to know what the needs of your target audience are so that you can cater to them and reap the financial rewards.

Once you know how to reach out and grab the attention of your market, you want to create a product or sell items that make them develop a loyalty to your brand. If you really want to know how to succeed with an online business, the key is in creating an empire of insatiable customers hungry for whatever it is your business produces.

This takes lots of determination because many people give up or get sidetracked with new ideas. This is certainly not how to succeed with an online business. You have to follow through with a single idea, monetize it, and then move on to your next profitable endeavor.

If your business is online, then you’ll probably be pursing life as an Internet marketer. Even if you’re selling items on eBay, you still want to drive large quantities of targeted traffic to your offer. Traffic is the primary concern you’ll have when seeking methods on how to succeed with an online business.

When you have visitors coming to your page or site, you want to test and tweak your offer until it performs at its very best. If you have headlines or free offers, then switch them out so that half of your visitors see the original and the other half see your new offer.

This is one secret on how to succeed with online businesses that many marketers don’t want you to know because if you continue promoting a single idea, your business won’t grow, but will grow stagnant instead.

As your company’s profits begin to take root, you want to continue discovering how to succeed with an online business because there are always new opportunities and techniques you can try. Expand your empire and saturate the market with you positioned as the resident expert before moving on to monetize a new niche.

This is our "Online business" and we promote our business on Twitter Our business is successful because it offers a FREE referral program and we can BUY CUSTOMERS!

Working at Home Making Money on eBay for Work at Home Moms

It’s hard to be a mom in today’s world, trying to juggle the fact that you need two incomes with the harsh reality of trying to raise your kids at the same time. Working at home making money on eBay is a prime example of how many mothers are merging the two realities and finding success as work at home moms.

Often, the income they earn working at home making money on eBay exceeds what their offline paycheck would be if they had to place their children in an expensive daycare facility. Plus, work at home moms have the added peace of mind knowing their kids are in good hands – their own!

Working at home making money on eBay as a work at home mom doesn’t mean you just clean out your closets and sell the same items that you’d place outdoors for a weekend garage sale. It’s a bona fide business opportunity that can help you create a multi-million dollar empire, if your goals and dreams take you that far.

If you truly want to catch a break working at home making money on eBay as a work at home mom, then you want to map out a business plan and then get started with your own virtual store on this giant auction site.

You may be able to start with a few items already in your possession, but then you want to branch out and sell multiple quantities of the same items by using wholesalers or distributors who can help you amass a stockpile of goods to sell while you’re working at home making money on eBay as a work at home mom.

Unfortunately, many people are operating from a small apartment and don’t have the space to carry a large inventory. If this is your situation, then you might want to consider using a third party dropshipper. This way, you can market goods on eBay but the dropshipper will deliver the items to your customers directly, without you having to stock or ship a single thing!

Some parents have come to realize that working at home making money on eBay as a work at home mom is highly lucrative, resulting in both mom and dad quitting their 9-5 jobs to focus on their eBay pursuits full time.

As your business grows from a spring cleaning bonanza to a one-stop-shop market on the ‘net, you’ll want to invest in better tools that help you organize and manage your growth as you transition from a work at home mom making money on eBay for a living to a global corporation with unlimited earning potential.

Make Sure You Have a Strategy for Your Internet Business

Make Sure You Have a Strategy for Your Internet Business

When you’re seeking a work at home opportunity, or want to launch a business for yourself with little to no start-up costs, you need to develop a strategy for your Internet business before you start taking action.

Having a strategy for your Internet business means plotting out your idea’s progress before you actually implement it. That may mean writing an outline of steps to take or creating a mind map of ideas you have to generate a profit for your business.

There are many things you’ll need to know for your strategy for your Internet business, such as who will handle the product creation or service. Will you outsource it and only maintain ownership or do it yourself?

Part of your strategy for your Internet business will be how to promote your ideas. Do you need to purchase advertising space in ezines, on websites, and through traffic exchanges or will you use free promotion opportunities like article directories, press release distribution services, and forum participation?

Sometimes each aspect of your strategy for your Internet business will need to be broken down with a plan of its own. For instance, if social networking is part of your plan, then you might have a blueprint for MySpace, another for Squidoo, and more for each social network that you plan to invade.

When you have a strategy for your Internet business, you want to make sure you have firm plans in place, but be flexible about the evolution of your business. You may stumble upon information or a new tactic that needs to make its way into your plans, and if you’re too rigid, it can impair your success.

A staple for your strategy for your Internet business should be testing and tweaking. Without testing various methods of doing business, you won’t ever be able to leverage the full potential of profits you have access to on the ‘net.

If you’re spending a large portion of your time submitting articles to directories or a huge portion of your budget advertising in eZines and never get any sales from them, then you’ll know trough testing and tracking that this particular strategy for your Internet business either needs massive revisions or to be cut from your plans altogether.

Creating a plan shouldn’t take all of your time or effort, but it is an integral part of your online success. Fleshing out a strategy for your Internet business also contributes to your ability to see where a business might get into trouble and helps you avoid the mishaps that often accompany a novice’s journey to unlimited profit potential.
